Resolutions, New Nephew, and Panda Cub

2010 couldn’t have started off any better for me. The word that comes to mind is “auspicious.” Oh, and one of my resolutions, seriously, even though I just wrote a column about not liking resolutions, is to update this blog more. I was terrible about updating in 09. Before I get to the news, let me link you to my latest three columns. First, there was GERM WARFARE, about how David used his shoe to keep me from eating cheese. Okay, so maybe it’s more about how neurotic I am. I attribute my vivid imagination to a blend of too many cartoons and hallucinogens. Speaking of the latter, the next column is called MAGIC KINGDOM, about my trip to Disneyland on Ravers Day (the video from this is embedded in the article). And the one out right now, this week, is called LOST IN RESOLUTION, about… hey, I already told you that. This Monday, I was on These Days with Maureen Cavanaugh, discussing resolutions on our local NPR station. You can listen to the podcast right HERE, so go ahead and CLICK. Now onto news and adorable panda cub video!

Early on New Year’s Day (like 4:33 a.m. early), my nephew Joshua was born. And I will forever razz him about the wild New Year’s Eve his mother had at the turn of the decade. After posting this blog, I’m going to upload some pics of Joshua and a ton of other stuff from over the past few weeks onto my Flickr account, so check there later for new albums with descriptions (my username, as on Twitter, YouTube and Facebook, is Barbarellaf). SPEAKING of YouTube, last night I posted a new video that I shot and edited after meeting the brand new panda cub, Yun Zi, at the San Diego Zoo. You can watch it, in all its cuteness, right here:

Now, on to uploading those pics!
